Bio

Mirjam is a second-year graduate student in the Viticulture and Enology program. In 2022, she completed her Bachelor's degree in Viticulture and Enology at the University of Geisenheim, Germany. Her research focuses on bioacidification using novel yeast strains, both Saccharomyces and non-Saccharomyces. These yeasts can serve as a natural source for acidity, helping the wine industry counteract the rising pH levels caused by climate change.
